The person with the emotional hat needs to show emotions like anger, fear, hope, frustration and happiness.
The green hat is for creative and associative thinking

The blue hat stands for structural and moderational thinking
The person with the blue hat needs to focus on processes and structures. This person needs to focus on the big picture.
The yellow hat is about optimistic thinking
The task of the yellow hat is to think of the best case scenario that could happen.
The white hat does analytic thinking

The black hat stands for pessimistic thinking
The main task of this person is to think of the risks and things that could go wrong so that all weaknesses of the solution to the problem can be fixed to a degree already within the discussion.
