The big advantage of native applications is that the operating system already provides default solutions like a bottom navigation bar across all apps and therefore the usability between applications can be increased.

On the other hand it is more complicated to maintain all applications for all operating systems as at least twice the work needs to be done on e.g. mobile devices.
